Directory mappings
Directory mappings translate identity-provider group membership into Townsify role assignments. They are organisation-specific access configuration.

Controls and behaviour
Add mapping connects a directory group to a role and scope. Removing a mapping removes that translation. The configured identity provider supplies the membership information used at sign-in or reconciliation.
Access and limits
A mapping does not create a provider connection. The identity provider must be configured separately. Review the target role before granting access to a broad directory group.
